PATERSON, NJ - Theodore Best is now serving as Paterson Public Schools' anti-bullying coordinator.
Best, a Passaic County freeholder and a former Paterson school board member, was hired as the district's $75,000 interim Supervisor of Special Projects during the summer.
District spokeswoman said Terry Corallo said Best's anti-bullying assignment was only temporary. He will continue working on the district's efforts to regain local control from the state.
Corallo also pointed out that Best was appointed to the supervisor's job on an interim basis. "As I mentioned, I will be re-posting for this position later this month and I expect that he will re-apply for the permanent position,'' Corallo said.
The addition of the anti-bullying duties resulted in no change in Best's salary, Corallo said.
