Tips for Re-Entering the Workforce Course to Be Held

LIVINGSTON, NJ - Livingston Youth and Leisure Services (SYLS) is holding a class called, “Tips for Re-entering the Workforce,” at 7 p.m., on Monday, January 27, at the Livingston Senior-Community Center on Hillside Avenue. The class will help people looking for work and will provide tips for those who have been out of the workforce and have gaps in their resumes. The public is invited to attend this class which is not limited to Livingston residents.

Attendees will learn what recruiters look for in applicants, how to write a strong cover letter and resume, and correct conduct during an interview (from shaking hands to answering unexpected questions). Guests will also receive tips for keeping the job and excelling in the company. The class will conclude with identifying any interests participants may have and learning how they might turn them into a small business.
Instructor Melissa Radin has more than 25 years in Human Capital and is a Human Capital consultant. In addition, she teaches business classes, such as: Management, HR and Organizational Behavior at Montclair State University and other local colleges.
