Three People Wounded in 4th Ward Drive-By Shooting

PATERSON, NJ - Three people were wounded in a drive-by shooting on 10th Avenue early Wednesday morning, police said.
Authorities said the motive for the shooting was unclear and the investigation is ongoing.
The incident happened at about 3 am when a dark-colored, four-door vehicle turned from E. 26th Street onto 10th Avenue and someone riding in the passenger side of the vehicle fired multiple shots at people walking on the street, police said.
A 25-year-old resident of E. 24th Street was wounded in the left side of his face and is in critical but stable condition at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, police said. Also wounded were a 38-year-old woman from North York Street who forehead was grazed by a bullet and a 24-year-old man from Warren Street, who was shot in the left ankle. They were treated and released.
