The Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Campaign raises awareness and funds for Y financial assistance that enables hundreds of children and families to participate in Y membership, programs and services including child care, early childhood education, and summer camps at the Madison Area Y’s renowned F.M. Kirby Children’s Center. The campaign is one of the ways that allows the Madison Area Y to provide assistance to anyone who resides or works within its local service area. Support is provided based on demonstrated need, with the goal that all have access to Y membership regardless of income or background.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation is an international childhood cancer charity that funds research to find cures for children with cancer. St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events involve volunteers, known as shavees, who are sponsored by friends, families and colleagues to shave their heads in solidarity with kids who often lose their hair during cancer treatments. While these events raise money for a serious cause, they are festive, community gatherings that often take place around St. Patrick’s Day.
