The ShopRite LPGA Classic returns to the famed Bay Course at Seaview Resort through June 3, 2012. The best players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association will compete for a $1.5 million purse in the 54-hole, official LPGA event, which will again be televised live on Golf Channel, The Alternative Press was told.
The Tournament, in coordination with title sponsor ShopRite, announced 100 percent of all advance ticket purchases will be donated to charity. To date, there are 22 charity partners of the 2012 ShopRite LPGA Classic, including AtlantiCare Foundation, Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Foundation, and Community FoodBank of New Jersey – Southern Branch. Since the LPGA started tracking charitable contributions in 1981, the cumulative charitable donations from the LPGA and its tournaments has totaled more than $200 million, $24 million of which comes from the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
The ShopRite LPGA Classic ̶ in association with Tanger Outlets The Walk, the Official Ticket Sponsor of the 2012 event ̶ is offering three ticket options: Good Any-One-Day Grounds Ticket for $15; Weekly Grounds Pass for $30; and Weekly Clubhouse Pass for $60. The Weekly Clubhouse Pass includes access to Seaview Resort, which provides additional dining and hospitality options. Tickets are now available at www.shopritelpgaclassic.com.
Additionally, the Tournament announced the continuation of the following free ticket promotions:
· Free admission for all spectators Monday, May 28 through Thursday, May 31
· Children age 17 and under will be admitted free
· ShopRite Price Plus Members will receive two grounds tickets per day by showing a valid membership card at the Admissions Gate
· All service personnel (military, fire and police) will be admitted free of charge throughout the Tournament with proper ID
The success of the Tournament depends heavily on the dedication of nearly 1,000 volunteers. Volunteers are needed to support a wide range of Tournament operations, including player scoring, clubhouse hospitality and maintaining crowd control as a marshal, among others. With the on-going support of AtlantiCare, the Official Sponsor of the Volunteer Program, the Tournament has created a valuable volunteer package. Each volunteer is required to purchase a $40 Official Volunteer Package that includes one official volunteer golf shirt; choice of hat or visor; free parking; Tournament access all week; two Good Any-One-Day Grounds Tickets; breakfast and lunch during days worked; and for those working a minimum of three shifts, a round of golf on the Tournament course (Seaview's Bay Course) for just one $25 cart fee.
