The Gilded Age: Milllionaires, Mansions and Maids

The Chatham Historical Society and the Historical Society of the Township of Chatham presents "The Gilded Age; Millionaires, Mansions and Maids" on Sunday, April 7th 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, 240 Southern Boulevard.  Join us as Susan Orr, Morris County Historical Society curator, takes us back to a time known as the Gilded Age, between the end of the Civil War and around the time of the turn of the 19th Century.  Morristown's  "Millionaires Row" was the scene of Morris County's own brand of "Downton Abbey" lifestyle.  The people who lived in these opulent mansions, the domestic help who kept them running smoothly, and the laborers who made the money for the robber barons, come t life in this special program.  Free Admission - Refreshments Served - Public Invited - For more details visit: www.chathamnjhistoricalsociety.org
