On behalf of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, I would like to offer praise and sincere thanks to the many individuals and Township departments who helped make the annual Spring Chamber of Commerce Street Fair on Sunday, April 13th such an overwhelming success.
Thanks to sunny skies and mild temperatures, thousands of people enjoyed lively music, a variety of highly anticipated culinary specialties, child friendly entertainment, and an array of merchants, crafters and vendors. As always, great community energy set the tone for a fun-filled day.
Our sincere thanks to our Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce Premier Sponsor Investors Bank, whose ongoing generosity enables the Chamber to continue to offer quality events that are enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors.
Thank you to Township Administrator Timothy Gordon and the members of the Township Committee for continuing to support the Chamber of Commerce in this venture.
As always, Sgt. David Bonney and the police department’s traffic division did an outstanding job of coordinating the street closing along Millburn Avenue, rerouting traffic, assuring pedestrian safety and assisting with the orderly set-up and breakdown of the displays of the more than 150 crafters, food vendors, merchants, and community service organizations that participated.
Special thanks to John Bace, John Walker and the entire crew at the Department of Public Works who always do such a terrific job of providing appropriate trash receptacles and maintaining the area throughout the event. Thousands of people enjoyed our town on Sunday and yet by early Monday morning it was free of litter and ready for business.
And, our event producer, Office of Street Fairs, continues to say that the Millburn Township Police Department, Department of Public Works and emergency service groups are fabulous to work with. Our sincere thanks again.
Karol McNulty, Executive Director
