Temple Sholom Puts the “Fun” in Fundraiser

Fanwood, NJ – On February 2, Temple Sholom of Fanwood/Scotch Plains held a hilarious night of comedy featuring Linda Belt with Adam Oliensis and Temple Member/Comedian Alex Bernstein. Proceeds will benefit Temple Sholom and its numerous community, educational and religious programs.
Temple Sholom’s next fundraiser will be an art auction March 2. Acquire beautiful works of art at bargain prices, enjoy the thrill of a live auction and meet guest artist John Stanisci, a professional illustrator for Marvel and DC Comics for over 18 years.
Preview begins at 7 p.m. Bidding starts at 8 p.m. $10 admission price includes a raffle ticket for a piece of art. Auction items will include framed art, collectibles and sports items. Past auctions have included items signed by Eric Clapton and Bruce Springsteen.

About Temple Sholom
Founded in 1913, Temple Sholom is a Reform Jewish Congregation led by Rabbi Joel N. Abraham. The Temple and its religious school are home to about 250 families from the greater Scotch Plains-Fanwood area. Currently residing within the Fanwood Presbyterian Church, the Temple has purchased five acres of land in Scotch Plains for its future home. Temple Sholom is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism.
