BLOOMINGTON, IN – Livingston’s Temple B’nai Abraham (TBA) not only reaches out to its congregants, who are away at college by sending packages in celebration of various holidays and important moments—its Rabbi, Clifford Kulwin, also takes several road trips via car and airplane to the Northeast, Midwest and South, throughout the year, where and visits briefly with them for brunch and/or dinner.

On his most recent stop in the Midwest, he visited several students at Indiana University (IU). Rabbi Kulwin said, “I had dinner with a bunch of “our” TBA kids—all students at IU. Thanks to Jamie Spiro, Alexandra Schwartz, Casey Markman, Cooper Weisman and Sam Brody for agreeing to hang out with me for a while. On the other hand, while they were happy to see me, I think there were even happier to have dinner at Farm, an outstanding “locavore” Bloomington restaurant I urge you to visit the next time you find yourself in central Indiana!”

Rabbi Kulwin continued, “I caught up with them in their world…studies, Greek life, friends, social activities, and summer jobs. I was happy to see how Jewish life remains a key part of them at school, whether through hanging out at Hillel, taking a Jewish Studies course, or going on Birthright.“
