Suspect arraigned on murder and weapons charges

PATERSON, NJ -- Tajshmere Johnson, 20, of Paterson was arraigned today on charges that he and several accomplices murdered a 16-year-old youth on March 9.
 
Johnson, who is being held in the Passaic County jail on $1 million cash-only bail, pleaded not guilty to murder and weapons charges during a court appearance before Superior Court Judge Marilyn C. Clark.The judge has referred the case to a grand jury.
 
Ragee Clark, a 16-year-old Paterson resident, was shot on March 9 on E. 18th St. at 3 a.m. There were five suspects said to have approached Clark, who died earlier this week from wounds sustained in the incident. Four of the suspects were arrested last week. Johnson surrendered to authorities on Tuesday.
