Summit's Zusi Scores Winning Goal for Washington & Lee Field Hockey

Taylor Zusi (Summit, Jr.) scored in the third minute of overtime to lift Washington & Lee to a 3-2 victory over Shenandoah in Lexington, Va. on Tuesday. Zusi, who prepped at Kent Place, has now scored two goals this season for the Generals (4-9).

Sarah Cummings (Summit, Jr.) tipped in a long pass for her first goal of the season in The College of New Jersey's 2-1 road win over Eastern on Tuesday. The Lions, ranked sixth in Division 3, are now 12-1.

Bucknell's Tayler Siegrist (Madison, Sr.) notched her eighth goal of the season in last Saturday's 4-0 victory over Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. Siegrist, a Madison High grad, also assisted on another goal for the Bison (8-6).

Lizzy Pellicane (Short Hills, Fr.) scored her first collegiate goal off a deflection as Denison walloped Bethany, 10-0, in Granville, Ohio on Thursday. The Big Red improved to 10-4.

Stephanie Soares (Berkeley Heights, Jr.) scored a pair of goals as Kean knocked off Mercy, 5-1, in Union on Tuesday. Soares, a Gov. Livingston High alum, has nine goals this season for the Cougars (6-8).

Megan Traub (Berkeley Heights, Jr.) scored what proved to be the winning goal in Stevens Tech's 2-1 triumph over William Paterson on Wednesday in Hoboken. Traub, out of Gov. Livingston High, has scored six goals this season for the Ducks (9-5).

Franklin & Marshall now has a string of six straight shutouts after road victories over Haverford, 2-0, last Saturday and Misericordia, 4-0, on Wednesday. Avery Koep (Madison, Jr.) kept the opposition honest around the goal. The Madison High product stopped three shots in the Haverford win and one against Misericordia. The Diplomats are now 11-1.

Molly Duffy (New Providence, Jr.) set up the winning goal for MIT in last Saturday's 2-1 victory over Mount Holyoke in South Hadley, Mass. The Engineers improved to 11-2.

Richmond's Chelsea Davies (Madison, Jr.) assisted on the third goal in the Spiders' 3-0 win over Villanova last Sunday at home. Richmond is now 9-4.

Colby's Caitlin Murray (Chatham, Jr.) picked up an assist on the Mules' first goal in a 4-2 loss to Wesleyan in Waterville, Maine last Sunday. Colby dropped to 4-6. 

MEN'S SOCCER

Matt Fechter (Westfield, Sr.) was involved in each of Colorado College's goals in Friday's 3-0 win over Cal-Santa Cruz in Irving, Tex. He set up the first tally in the fifth minute of the match, scored the second goal and later assisted on the final goal. Last Sunday, the Pingry grad scored the first goal in the Tigers' 2-0 win over Centenary (La.). He now has 13 goals this season, as well as 11 assists for the Tigers (11-3).

Brendan Burgdorf (Westfield, Sr.) had Bucknell's only goal in last Saturday's 1-1 tie with Navy in Lewisburg, Pa. The Bison stand at 5-3-3.

Jackson Hurst (Madison, Fr.) picked up an assist on Drew's second goal in last Saturday's 3-0 win over Goucher in Towson, Md. That was the first collegiate point for the Madison High grad. Drew is now 8-3-2.

Mike Irving (Westfield, Sr.) earned an assist as Franklin & Marshall defeated McDaniel, 5-1, in Westminster, Md. last Saturday. The Diplomats improved to 9-3.

Brian Petrunik (Chatham, Fr.) played the second half in goal for Ramapo and made two saves to preserve a 2-0 Roadrunners victory over Rowan in Glassboro on Wednesday. Ramapo is now 6-6-1.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Eliza Gray (South Orange, Fr.) stopped four shots on goal to help Gettysburg edge Swarthmore, 1-0, last Saturday on the road. The Bullets are shooting at 8-5.

Annie Weichert (Chatham, Sr.) made five saves in Dickinson's 4-0 victory over Albright in Carlisle, Pa. on Monday. The Red Devils are now 9-4.

Hannah Kronick (Westfield, Soph.) tacked three goals and an assist onto her already burgeoning season totals as Johns Hopkins defeated Ursinus, 6-0, last Saturday in Baltimore. Emily Nagourney (Scotch Plains, Soph.) picked up an assist on the final Blue Jays goal of the match. The winners are now 9-4-1.

Samantha Panzner (Livingston, Jr.) earned credit for an assist on a corner kick that resulted in the first Marist goal in the Red Foxes' 4-1 win over Fairfield on Friday in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Marist improved to 10-5.
