SUMMIT, NJ - Downtown Summit was the place for women to unwind and have a good time with their girlfriends on Thursday night, Oct. 11, as women of all ages, from middle school to seniors, filled boutiques and restaurants for Girl’s Night Out.

The majority of shops and restaurants in Summit participated in this fun event, holding raffles and providing giveaways while women enjoyed food and drinks.  Women who registered for the event were eligible to win special gifts from participating stores.

One of the main stops of the night was the Willow St. Boutique, located at 431 Springfield Ave.  “I like the whole concept of women getting together,” owner Lezli Bradley told TheAlternativePress.com.

Women of all ages did just that; they ate, drank and had a genuinely good time. There was a live band at the Promenade and a DJ playing off Beechwood Avenue that provided the entertainment for the night.

Women were able to enjoy the evening and for a few hours, spend quality time with their friends. The YMCA even offered free babysitting during the event to encourage women to participate.

Restaurants such as Winberie’s and others had a pre-fixe menu for women looking to have a meal while they were shopping.

Thursday was a night where all the women in Summit came together to enjoy themselves.

Summit resident Risa Gorelick added, “Girl’s Night Out is a really great night for the community and for small businesses in Summit. It is a win-win all around, and it is so much fun.”
