Summit PAL to Host Third Annual Downhill Skateboard Derby

The Summit PAL is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Downhill Skateboard Derby will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM on the hill at the Celgene Corporation, 86 Morris Avenue. The event features Downhill Slalom Races in 3 Divisions: Middle School Boys, High School Boys and Girls in all grades. New for this year is a Freestyle Competition event. The event includes trophies, loads of prizes, T-shirts for every competitor and much, much, more.
Entry forms are available at the event’s sponsor, Tito’s Burritos at 356 Springfield Avenue, Summit. Tito’s Burritos has been a sponsor since the inception of the event.
Safety equipment is required including helmets, knee pads, wristbands and gloves. All entrants must have a signed permission slip from a parent or legal guardian to participate. Parents are urged to attend as well.
The programs of the Summit PAL are made possible through donations from residents and local businesses.
