The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club will hold its 26th Travel Auction on Saturday, March 5, at the Morris Museum in Morristown. This year's theme is "Oh the places you'll go!" The event begins at 6:30pm with a cocktail reception and a silent auction.

The silent auction will continue throughout the evening, giving guests the opportunity to bid on items donated by local merchants, as well as sports tickets, restaurant certificates and jewelry. The night will continue with buffet style dinner and dancing followed by a live auction. The live auction will feature vacations and other exciting items.

Proceeds from this year's travel auction will benefit the Summit Educational Foundation - SEF. SEF is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1986 to support innovative co-curricular educational programs initiated by teachers and the school district which serve to further Summit's high standards for excellence in education. The foundation provides grants to the public schools to enhance the learning experience of Summit children at every grade level and at every school in the community, thereby benefiting the more than 3,000 families with children attending Summit's public schools.

The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club has received generous donations from community businesses and corporations, and the club looks forward to a successful and enjoyable evening for all who attend. Juliet Eck and Jo-Rose Portfolio are this year's chairpersons for the event. Tickets for this year's travel auction are $150 per person and will include cocktails, silent and live auctions, and dinner and dancing.
