SUMMIT, NJ - The newly established City of Summit Creative Arts Team will hold a open public meeting July 29 beginning at 7 p.m.

Members of the community who are artists -- or have an interest in the arts -- are encouraged to attend and contribute information on arts-related activities happening in Summit.  The meeting will be held at the Summit Free Public Library located at 75 Maple Street.

The Creative Arts team is compiling a Creative Assets Inventory, with the goal of having a comprehensive listing of people involved in the visual arts, performing arts, and literary arts to share on the City of Summit website.

Development of a list noting usable spaces - large and small - for performing arts events and visual arts exhibitions to benefit both the community and artists who are looking for space is a key goal as well.

Artists or patrons of the arts who cannot attend the meeting, but would like to contribute to the Creative Assets Inventory, may email the Summit Creative Arts team at summitarts2014@gmail.com.
