Substitute Teacher Arrested for Drug Distribution

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Police Department arrested Michael A. Tudor of South Plainfield and charged him with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana in excess of 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest took place on Oct. 17 after a search warrant was executed at a Bori Drive residence.
Tudor was employed by JFK Medical Center in Edison and has also served in the district as a substitute teacher. South Plainfield Superintendent Stephen Genco said, “Mr. Tudor has not substituted this past year, and all appropriate officials have been made aware of the situation.”
The arrest came after a lengthy investigation by Det. Garret Cassio and the South Plainfield Detective Bureau. Tudor has been processed and has been released after posting bail.
