WARREN, NJ - It's still summer. But it is time to start thinking about heading back to school.  A recently published report finds that New Jersey schools are the best  in the United States.
The study was conducted by finance website Wallethub.com.

WalletHub studied the quality of education in the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia by analyzing 12 key metrics — from test scores and student-teacher ratios to dropout rates, safety and bullying incident rates.

New Jersey came out on top.

Exemplifying excellence, as part of  ongoing efforts to promote good character and a positive school climate, each school in the Warren Township School District celebrated a "Week of Respect," last fall. During the "Week of Respect," students examined ways to show respect towards families, peers, school, and their community.

Each day focused on a different school-wide topic. To increase enthusiasm, each day had a slogan, and students were encouraged to wear themed attire. Students also participated in class discussions and activities centered on these topics.

The top ten states are: New Jersey,Massachusetts, Vermont,New Hampshire,Kansas,Colorado,Virginia,Minnesota, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Wallethub.com used data from sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, the National Center for Educational Statistics and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. For more information, visit www.wallethub.com.
