Kick start your holiday shopping at the Friends of East Orange Public Library’s Annual Craft Bazaar on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the East Orange Room of the Main Library (located at 21 South Arlington Avenue) from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Be one of the discerning collectors or serious holiday shoppers drawn to this fun Bazaar!
Being held for the third year now, the Bazaar has become THE place for skilled artisans from throughout the community to come together to sell their handmade crafts. Prominently featured are crafters from the Library’s own Jewelry Making Classes and In Stitches Knitting and Crochet Club offering their special handmade projects. Other unique items include handmade candles, dolls, tote bags, pocketbooks, table runners, greeting cards, keepsake books, paintings and home décor, just to name a few. The event helps support the Library’s children and teen programs and services while animating the arts scene and boosting the economy of local crafters.
The Friends of East Orange Public Library is an alliance of business leaders, community leaders, civic leaders, and concerned citizens who are dedicated to making the Library a better place. Throughout the year, the Friends sponsor many activities including Book Sales, the Junior, Teen and Adult Summer Reading Clubs, a Spring Dance Event, An Evening of Jazz and many other cultural programs that have a very positive effect on the East Orange community.
A gateway to knowledge, the East Orange Public Library helps people of all ages meet their informational, educational, and recreational needs through professionally selected print and non-print resources.
