St Vincent de Paul School has won Stop & Shop’s A+ Principal’s Challenge, a competition in which the vice principals of the Catholic elementary school in Stirling, NJ, have agreed to an onsite shopping competition. On March 16th, at 10:30 at the Stop & Shop at 404 Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights, NJ , vice principals, Dena Mahoney and John Benvenuto will make good on their contest entry and win an extra $1000 in A+ rewards for St. Vincent de Paul School.
To coincide with the school’s National Blue Ribbon award, Mahoney and Benvenuto will dress all in blue for their shopping spree during which they will have two minutes to fill their carts with as many different non perishable blue packages as possible. The winner gets bragging rights and the local community benefits as school families will be donating the contents of the carts to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. St Vincent de Paul faculty, students and families will be on hand to cheer on their teachers and load up the food pantry donation.
The Principal’s Challenge is a contest sponsored by the Stop &Shop A+ School Rewards Program that raises money for the winning schools. Principals of schools participating in the A+ School Rewards were asked to submit unique and creative challenges that their principals would do for an extra $1000. More than 500 entries were submitted and five winning entries were selected.
Join us at 10:30 on March 16th for an exciting, entertaining and charitable morning.
