FANWOOD, NJ – When Sharon Goldner decided to move her’ Receipe for a Healthy Life’ nutrition practice, she had no idea that she setting in motion events that would lead to the creation of The Wellness Group now located upstairs at 36 N. Martine Avenue in Fanwood.
“I knew I wanted to stay in the area and I found the perfect space in Fanwood. For my practice I needed a reception area and access to a kitchen because I actually cook with my clients,” said Goldner. “Because the space was bigger than what I needed, I sent out a message saying that I was looking for wellness practitioners to share the space.”
The end result is that Laura Madrigano of Nourish My Spirit, a life coaching and workshop company, Elizabeth Shults, a nationally certified, state licensed, fully insured Massage Therapist and Dr. Francine Conway, a licensed Psychologist, share the space with Goldner and they have collectively formed The Wellness Group.
Each of the practitioners feels lucky to have found the others. “I see it as an opportunity to be more productive than working from a home office and it has the added benefit of having the synergy of working with like minded practitioners,” said Goldner.
Laura Madrigano business is called Nourish My Spirit – Spiritual Life Coaching. She is a Board Certified Coach who provides one on one coaching and self-care workshops, personal nourishment and healing. “A Spiritual Life Coach is similar to a life coach, with an emphasis on helping people integrate spirituality more fully into their lives,” said Madrigano. “Whether you want to discover your life purpose, find your soul-mate, switch jobs, integrate your inner world and outer reality, or need general support facing life’s challenges, working with a coach can help you in all these areas.”
Elizabeth Shults is Elizabeth’s Healing Hands, and her specialties include: deep tissue/ trigger point therapy, sports bodywork, therapeutic massage, Swedish massage, and Pre-natal massage. “I pride myself in the ability to approach each session with an open mind and open ears to truly listen to what the client's complaints are in order to best address their issues,” said Shults. She also integrates an energy healing modality called Emotional Freedom Technique into sessions upon request. The technique is similar to acupressure and it helps to clear the median pathways in the body; allowing the body to naturally re-align itself.
Dr. Francine Conway is the fourth member of The Wellness Group. She is an Associate Professor in the Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University and a licensed Psychologist in the State of New Jersey and New York. She has been practicing privately for nine years providing individual psychotherapy to children and adults who present with a variety of psychological problems. She has written numerous articles about psychotherapy and other issues related to psychological wellbeing.
“We are four wellness professionals who share a deep commitment to health, healing and serving
the community,” said Goldner. “We would like to invite residents to our Open House this Saturday, October 27 from 1 to 4 pm.”
