Sparta Police Youth Division to Present Program on Cyber Bullying and Social Network Safety

SPARTA, NJ - The Sparta Police Department Youth Division will be holding its January meeting this Thursday, Jan. 9 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sparta PAL Building.
There will be special programming pertaining to Cyber Bullying and Social Network safety, presented by the Sparta Police Department, the Sparta Police Athletic League and staff members from the Center of Prevention and Counseling located in Newton.
Due to the importance of the subject matter, along with youth division members, this meeting is open to all Sparta parents and their children.
The Sparta Township Police Youth Division was established in August 2012. The mission objective of the youth division is; Reverse negative peer pressure and attitudes by education and then the introducing a strong, positive forces of children and teens into our local schools and community who are trained and educated in Drug Awareness, Anti-Bullying Concepts and Social Network Safety while maintaining a large visible community presence through their positive actions and public service.
