SPARC'ling Evening of Song Set for Oct. 19

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Performing Arts Resource Committee (SPARC) is set to host its fourth annual SPARC'ling Evening of Song Oct. 19 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Beacon Hill Club, 250 Hobart Ave.
The SPARC'ling Evening of Song is an elegant evening of hors d'oeuvres, desserts, drinks and music to raise money for performing arts programs in Summit's public schools. The highlight of the the event are vocal performances by talented professionals and Summit High School (SHS) alumni.

Nicole Mion (SHS Class of '12)
Anise Molina (SHS Class of '10)
Lynsey Newsham (SHS Class of '13)
Carolyn Steinberg (SHS Class of '10)
Guests also have the opportunity to take home valuable prizes through an auction, reverse auction and a game of chance. Money raised through the reverse auction directly supports SHS, with funds going towards the purchase of the rights to 42nd Street (2014 SHS Musical), as well as the funding of forensics workshops and classes. A fundraising raffle for a SPARC'ling sapphire pendant, donated by Ian Woloshin of Woloshin Jewelers provides is part of the proceedings. Hand-crafted in 18-karat white gold, and dangling from a delicate, diamond-encrusted "X", the pendant features 1.5 karats of sapphires clustered together to form a flower and showcased by .24-karat glimmering diamond accents. The piece is valued at $2,425, with raffle tickets, which can be purchased whether attending the event or not, available for $50 each.
