SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Longtime South Plainfield resident Renato Biribin is starring in “Sturnalia,” a recently released film about a homeless woman who manages to sneak in and live undetected in the house of a recently retired man (Biribin) after the sudden death of his wife.

The film, which is based on a true event, was released on July 30, 201, and last weekend the Plainfields’ Chapter of UNICO National held a special screening at the South Plainfield Senior Center.

The independent film, written by Gustavo Mercado, won five awards, including Best Feature at the Kinston, New York Film Festival and the Special Jury Feature Award at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival.  In addition, it received awards for Best Cinematography and Best Actress at the Chain NYC Film Festival and Best Actress at the Woods Hole Film Festival.
