Rizvi was caught by a rip current and disappeared into the ocean in an area not manned by lifeguards.  His family and friends alerted lifeguards at approximately 5:00 pm, when life guards located Rizvi they attempted to resuscitate him before he was transported to Monmouth Medical Center.  He was pronounced dead at 2:45 am Wednesday morning.
