South Orange Emergency Response Team Seeking Volunteers

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, many local residents have become interested in learning about how to volunteer to help fellow community members when the need arises in future emergencies.
Andrew Boyarsky, the newly appointed Chair-person for South Orange’s Community Emergency Response Team, will be hosting an orientation event on Thursday, March 21 from 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the Baird Center (5 Mead Street) in the main conference room.
At the event, members of the group will cover what the Community Emergency Response Team is, its role and function during emergencies, what the CERT training covers, and how you can help.
