NEW ROCHELLE, NY – According to the website “Talk of the Sound,” South Orange-Maplewood Schools Superintendent Brian Osborne will be leaving to take the superintendent’s job in New Rochelle.
Reporter Robert Cox states in his recent article, ”The New Rochelle Board of Education is expected to announce that they have hired Brian Osborne to be the next Superintendent of Schools for the City School District of New Rochelle.”
Osborne did not respond to requests for information today, so this report is unconfirmed at this time.
Last year, Osborne was offered the same post in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but decided to decline, citing family reasons. There has been continued speculation about his desire to leave New Jersey in light of the impending salary cap which would force him to accept a reduction in pay from $225,000 per year to $175,000.
TAP will report more as facts unfold.
