A small plane crashed on Route 287 in Harding Township after taking off from Teterboro Airport, causing state police to close the highway in both directions. State police say five people, including two children, were on board and there are no survivors. No motorists were involved.

At last report, some lanes of 287 had been re-opened, although not the entire road.
