Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., Identical Twin Brothers Named 2012 “New Leaders of the Bar" Award Recipients

David B. Wolfe, Esq. and Jonathan W. Wolfe, Esq. of Skoloff & Wolfe P.C. were recently recognized as two of the “New Leaders of the Bar” by New Jersey Law Journal. 

David B. Wolfe serves as a member of the Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C., real property valuation and litigation departments.  The New Jersey Law Journal describes David as "a recognized leader at the local and national levels.“   He represents commercial and residential taxpayers in real property tax appeals and clients in complex commercial litigation.   David is the only New Jersey lawyer to serve as the Chair of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, the ABA's largest Division with more than 140,000 members.  He has been featured or quoted in a wide variety of local and national publications, including The Star-Ledger, Forbes.com, Marketwatch.com, GlobeSt.com, NJBIZ, The Washington Post, WSJ.com, Law.com, New York Law Journal, and New Jersey Law Journal.  Earlier this year, David was named the “Young Lawyer of the Year,” by the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD).  He began his career as an associate at the law firm of Davis Polk and Wardwell in New York.  While at Davis Polk, his practice focused on regulatory investigations, securities litigation and banking disputes.

New  Jersey Law Journal highlights Jonathan's diverse and successful practice, stating “From successfully defending a hedge fund against $12 billion RICO claims, to representing Katie Holmes in her divorce from Tom Cruise, Jonathan Wolfe has excelled in both ‘bet your company’ litigation and high-profile matrimonial disputes.”  Jonathan Wolfe began his practice as a member of the litigation department of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy in New York where his practice focused on securities and business litigation.   Jonathan represents leaders or the spouses of leaders from the business, professional and entertainment/sports communities in complex matrimonial matters.  Since joining Skoloff & Wolfe, he also has continued to represent publicly and privately held corporations, partnerships and individuals in business litigation.  Jonathan has also served as a national leader of the American Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Governors and Executive Committee, and the New Jersey State Bar Association as a Trustee, Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, and Executive Committee member of the Family Law Section.

Both Jonathan and David received their J.D. degrees  from New York University School of Law and graduated from Cornell University, with distinction in all subjects.
