Shooting Claims Man's Life Friday Morning in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ - A 33-year-old city man was shot to death and a woman was wounded in her arm by a gunshot early Friday morning.
According to Captain Heriberto Rodriguez, Tashan Hall was shot in the torso at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Carroll Street and 16th Avenue in the neighborhood east of downtown between Straight Street and Madison Avenue. He was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival there.
A black female in her early 20s was also treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound in her arm. She was later released.
No other information has been released yet about the incident, which it the first homicide in the city this month.
