Sharing Network 5K Set for This Weekend in New Providence

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The Share NJ 5K to benefit the Sharing Network will take place on Sunday, June 10 in New Providence.
The fun-filled, family oriented day will include music, awards, prizes and amazing activities for all ages.
The goal of this year's race is to raise $625,000 to benefit the Sharing Network Foundation, which supports and promotes the donation of organs and tissue for transplantation, therapy, research and education; and fosters education and research with respect to organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The Foundation ultimately seeks to close the gap between the thousands of New Jersey residents waiting for a life-saving transplant and the number of organs available. No one should have to die waiting for the gift of life.
Online registration closes on Friday, June 8, at noon. Participants who miss the June 8 deadline will have the opportunity to register on race day. Registration fees on race day are as follows: Adults 15+ $30 and children 6-14 $20. The Foundation's website, www.sharenj5k.org, will remain open for donations until July 31.
The race day schedule will be:
7:30 a.m. - Registration Opens
8:15 a.m. - Warm Up
9 a.m. - 5K Certified, Timed Race
9:45 a.m. - 5K Certified, Timed Awards
10 a.m. - 5K Walk/Run
11 a.m. - Sprout Sprints (ages 3 and under)
11:15 a.m. - Closing Remarks
Early packet pickup will be Saturday, June 9 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
