SUMMIT, NJ - Nicolette Ferguson who, since last Fall, worked as an Assistant Supervisor with the Share The Fun! Club -- the Summit Department of Community Programs' (DCP) popular after school program -- will soon begin her journey with the United States Air Force.
Ferguson heads to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, April 15, and will remain in boot camp for a duration of eight and a-half weeks. She will then transition into technical school for an additional fourteen weeks. During tech school, Nicolette will specialize in Security Forces, a training that is similar to Police Academy.
Judith Leblein Josephs, Director of Community Programs at the DCP, said that members and staff of the Share the Fun! Club, along with DCP staff members, will be greatly affected by Nicolette's absence. "Nicolette has truly made a lasting impression on everyone that had the opportunity to know her during her time at the DCP, and everyone wishes her a safe and incredible journey during her time with the Air Force. We thank her for all that she has done for us here, and thank her for all that she will continue to do for our country in the coming years."
