Seven SHS Girls LAX Team Members Announce College Commitments

SUMMIT, NJ - Seven senior-class members of the powerhouse Summit High School Girls Lacrosse team have announced their college commitments.

The girls were all part of the 2013 team that captured the Union County Championship, the Group 2 North Sectional Championship, and the Group 2 State Championship.  The seven Hilltoppers are:
 
Anna Baumeister
Midfield
Cornell University
 
Baumeister is an Academic All American, Second Team All Conference, and will finish her career as a three-year varsity starter.
 
 
Meaghan Celmer
Attack
College of the Holy Cross
 
Celmer is a three-year varsity letter winner.
 
 
Caroline Cranley
Goal
Trinity College
 
Cranley is a three-year varsity letter winner.
 
 
Stephanie Ford
Midfield
College of the Holy Cross
 
Ford is a two-year letter winner, and was Honorable Mention All Conference.
 
 
Taylor Ford
Defense
Catholic University
 
Ford is a two-year varsity letter winner.
 
 
Madeleine Gramigna
Midfield
Yale University
 
Gramigna is an Academic All American, Second Team All Conference, and will finish her career as a four-year varsity letter winner.
 
 
Kelly Haberl
Defense
Colgate University
 
Haberl is an Academic All American, and will finish her career as a four-year varsity letter winner. 
 
Summit High School Head Coach Mike Walsh said, "I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of our senior class, and pleased that these young ladies have all chosen to continue their lacrosse careers in college."  He added, "The quality of the academic institutions speaks to the outstanding education they have received at Summit High School and the quality of the lacrosse programs speaks to their efforts on the field."
