Seven Candidates Running for Three School Seats

PATERSON, NJ - Three incumbents and four challengers will be running in the city's April 16 Board of Education elections.
The field was set on Monday afternoon, the deadline for candidates to file their petitions.
The incumbents are Board President Christopher Irving, Alex Mendez and Vice President Kenneth Simmons.
The challengers are Nelly Celi, who is active in the Girl Scouts; William Connolly, a former Republican candidate for the state Assembly; Juan Sosa; and Alveria Spencer, a social worker.
