Set Boyden Principal Becomes 'The Cat in the Hat'

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Seth Boyden School Principal, Mark Quiles, dressed as the beloved Dr. Seuss character, "The Cat in the Hat," on Friday, as part of the school's celebration the National Edeucation Association's "Read Across America Day.' Quiles said that he decided to not only read the classic story, but to do it in full costume costume, "after some special requests."
All students from kindergarten through Grade 5 participated in a school-wide read at 2:45 p.m., when they left their classrooms and went into the halls to read quietly for about 20 minutes.
The day also kicked off the Seth Boyden PTA Read-a-thon which will finish with a large assembly at the end of March.
