Senator Thomas H. Kean, Jr. Visits the Work-Family Program at the Milton Avenue School

As part of the week long "Lights On After School"  national celebration, Senator Thomas H Kean, Jr. visited the Work-Family Connection program at the Milton Avenue School in Chatham. Senator Kean read "The Lorax" by Dr. Suess, and discussed the story with the children. They also had an opportunity to ask him questions about his work.

Some of the childrens' questions included:

  • "Do you like your job?"
  • "What do you do for children?"
  • "Do you want to be Governor?"
  • "What do you do in your free time?"
  • "Is your job hard?"

Senator Kean is the representative for the The 21st Legislative District of the New Jersey Legislature which includes Chatham Borough.

The Work-Family Connection is a non-profit educational organization founded in 1989.
