WARREN. NJ - Warren Township Youth Basketball Association games are cancelled for tomorrow as is the Woodland School craft fair due to a forecast of another round of wintry weather hitting the eastern half of the United States starting Friday, threatening to leave as much as a foot of snow by Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Northeast New Jersey, including Warren, for Saturday, December 14.  The warning is in effect from 6 a.m. on December 14 through 6 a.m. on December 15.

The snow is expected to begin sometime Saturday morning with light snow.  As the day progresses, heavier snow will develop.  Accumulations of 4-8 inches are currently anticipated.
The snow will turn into sleet and freezing rain Saturday night, creating icy conditions on the roads. 1/4 inch of ice may form on top of the snow.
Winds will come from the northeast at 10 to 20 MPH and gusts up to 30 MPH. Visibility of 1/2 mile or less is expected late Saturday afternoon into the evening. Temperatures will be in the upper teens and lower twenties during the day, with an increase into the thirties in the evening.

Travel may be dangerous and drivers are asked to proceed with caution and be prepared for emergencies.
