PATERSON, NJ - Paterson Public Schools has given a $10,000 raise to its chief of staff, boosting her overall salary to $153,558, according to the district's monthly personnel report.

The report said Jacqueline Jones' regular sallary would be $150,908, along with a longevity stipend of $2,650. She previously had made $140,961, plus longevity pay.

The personnel report said a budget freeze prevented Jones from getting a previous raise after she was appointed chief of staff in 2010. She will receive her new salary retroactive to July 1, 2012, the report said.
