NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - As part of an ongoing "Character Education" program, students at Salt Brook School in New Providence collected used recorders to donate to Recorders of Hope, an organization that aims to bring the joy of music to elementary school children in disadvantaged communities around the world.
With sixth-grader Jarod Chan and third-grader Sydney Chan helping to lead the effort, Salt Brook students collected 48 recorders, which will be sent to Ethiopia.
