Rhonda Denet at Westfield Memorial Library with "Mostly Motown"

(February 20, 2013) – On Wednesday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m., the Westfield Memorial Library will host Rhonda Denet with the Silver Fox Songs to perform the “Mostly Motown” review. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.
“Mostly Motown” is a review of classic rhythm & blues and soul of the 1960s and 70s. Songstress Rhonda Denet and Silver Fox Songs will celebrate a time when this primarily African-American genre crossed over to mainstream audiences.
Featured songs were made famous by female artists Aretha Franklin, Martha & The Vandellas, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Etta James, Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield and Roberta Flack, as well as male artists Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Al Greene.
The show is free and open to Westfield Memorial Library cardholders, but you must sign up. MURAL cardholders may sign up after February 28 if there is availability. (MURAL cardholders belong to libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. Check our website to see if your library participates.)
