Red Cross Lifeguard Classes at the Madison Area YMCA

Members and non-members may register now for the Madison Area YMCA’s Red Cross Lifeguard Classes that are offered in February, March, April and May. Registration is in person only. Space is limited to six people per class.
The cost of the certification course is $375. A non-refundable 50% down payment is required at the time of sign-up. No refunds are allowed after the course start date.
Courses are offered: Friday, February 22 from 7:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. & Sunday, February 24, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. & Sunday, March 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, April 6, from 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. & Sunday, April 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, April13, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. & Sunday, April 14, from 12:00-6:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 4, from 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. & Sunday, May 5, from 12:00p.m-6:00 p.m.; Friday, May 10, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. & Saturday, May 11, from 1:00p.m.-6:00 p.m.
The Madison Area YMCA Aquatics Department is committed to offering quality programming that teaches swimming and water safety skills in a student-centered, caring atmosphere with developmentally appropriate lessons that are designed to teach skills quickly and effectively. The Y offers parent/child, preschool, school age, teen and adult swimming instruction for all levels of ability, lifeguard certification courses and dedicated times for lap swim, open swim and family swim. The department follows the YMCA Aquatic program guidelines.
