RANDOLPH, NJ- Polls for the primary election will be open Tuesday, June 3,  from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In Randolph Township, four incumbent Republicans are seeking GOP support Tuesday to run again in the general election in November. There are no challengers, and no Democrats on the ballot.

Mayor Jim Loveys, Councilman Michael Guadagno, Councilman Al Napoliello and Councilman Mark Forstenhausler are each seeking GOP support to run for another four years.

Forstenhausler was appointed early this year to fill the unexpired term of Tom MacArthur, who resigned from the council after his year long run as Mayor. MacArthur moved out of Randolph in order to further pursue his political career.

Mayor Jim Loveys was elected in 2011 for a full term after serving out the term of former council member Jay Alpert in 2010.

Councilman Al Napoliello first served on the town council in 2002. He then served as deputy mayor in 2004 and 2010, then serving as mayor during the 2005 and 2008 bicentennial.

Councilman Michael Guadagno first served on the council in 2011 before elected mayor in 2012.

In the Senate race, Cory Booker is the only Democratic candidate. The Republicans will vote for Jeff Bell, Brian Goldberg, Richard Pezzullo, or Murray Sabrin.

The incumbent, Republican William “Hank” Lyon, a freeholder since March 2012, is the sole candidate on the GOP primary ballot. His challenger in November is expected to be Democrat Matthew Davis, who also is unopposed for his party’s nomination.
