Randolph NJ- The Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual Holiday Luncheon last Thursday, Dec. 5 at La Strada in Randolph. Most of the seats were filled, as members were eager to hear a presentation on the new healthcare law.
The highlight of the event however, was the announcement of the funds raised for Hope House Charity. Just over $1,000 was donated in checks and gift cards by all in attendance. The collection was organized by Nisivoccia Consulting. For many years, Nisivoccia has been kind enough to pay the cost of the Holiday Lunch for every attendee, provided that they bring a donation to the charity. Lou Nisivoccia, the current President of the Chamber, presented the donations to a representative from Hope House, who expressed sincere gratitude.
Hope House is located in Dover and serves all of Morris County. They provide service to Veterans, helping them to find stable housing and jobs. They also provide meals to those in need, and for this Christmas season they expect to be feeding over 500 families.
The presentation on the recent healthcare changes was given by The Wharton Group from Livingston. Scott Douglas and Jennifer Chudnick gave an overview of some factors contributing to rising costs, and also briefed the group on what to expect in the years ahead.
The Chamber also took a vote for their Board of Directors, and the following members were elected:
Ron DeFillipis, Mills and DeFillipis
