Project Runway's Tim Gunn to Appear at Columbia High School

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Project Runway’s Tim Gunn will be appearing live on stage in conversation with NY1-TV reporter and South Orange resident Budd Mishkin at Columbia High School on Sunday, March 17, at 7:30pm.  The event is presented as a part of The Seth Boyden Series: a Conversation with Culture.

Tim Gunn is the co-host of the six-time Emmy-nominated reality-based television show Project Runway, which received GLAAD Media Awards in 2007 and 2011 and a Peabody Award in 2008.  Gunn also serves as Fashion Dean at Fifth & Pacific Inc (formerly Liz Claiborne Inc) where he works to foster creativity and connect the company's designers with emerging trends in the marketplace.

Prior to joining Fifth & Pacific, Gunn worked at Parsons School of Design for 24 years, where he was appointed Chair of the Department of Fashion Design in 2000.  When he left Parsons, Gunn received the title of Honorary Chair of Fashion Design at the school.  He also works extensively with many charitable organizations, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline, GMHC, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, Bailey House, and the Human Rights Campaign.

The Seth Boyden Series was created to raise funds in support of a new playground and Outdoor Learning Center at the Seth Boyden Demonstration School in the Maplewood/South Orange NJ School District.
