Possession of Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia, and Controlled Dangerous Substance

Emily I. Vandermark 224 Planes Rd Augusta NJ 18 Officer DeWald On 2-4-13, the Byram Twp. Police Department received a call about an erratic driver on Rt. 206 N. The suspect vehicle was located on Rt. 206 N. and a motor vehicle stop was initiated in the area of Tamarack Road. While speaking to the driver, Emily Vandermark of Augusta and the passenger of the vehicle, William Nebel of Newton, the officer observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The officer then discovered that Vandermark was in possession of 48 bags of heroin and that Nebel was in possession of 49 bags of heroin. A search of the vehicle also produced several I-Pods which may have been stolen. Vandermark and Nebel were then arrested and transported to the station for processing. Vandermark was charged with the following: Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle, and having a Non-Working Headlight. Nebel was charged with the following: Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt. Both were released pending a mandatory Byram Twp. Municipal Court date.
