WARREN, NJ - Drivers are cautioned to be on the lookout for black ice and icy road conditions Sunday evening and during the early morning hours. Snow accumulation is not expected to be heavy, however freezing temperatures have created slippery road and walkway conditions.

Watchung Police issued an advisory at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 warning that due to the inclement weather, the Watchung portion of Hillcrest Road is subject to closure and urged drivers to drive with caution.

There remains an abundant amount of moisture on area roads. Also, temperatures in many locations are at or below freezing outside the New York City metropolitan area. Some fog has also developed, some of which is locally dense.

Anyone traveling should exercise extra caution Sunday evening and Monday morning,  especially on Hillcrest Road, Warrenville Road, Watchung Ave. and Morning Glory Road.
