9-24-2013 – A Gales Drive resident reported that someone had changed Verizon Wireless password, added five more wireless lines to his account.
9-27-2013 – Patrolman Andrew Diamond arrested Raul DeJesus, 32, of Englewood on outstanding warrants out of Hackensack, Pequannock and Bergen Central Municipal Courts. The warrants were located during a motor vehicle stop on Southgate Road. He was also charged with driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was turned over to the Pequannock Police Department.
9-28-2013 – A Springfield Avenue business reported that a juvenile had stolen a set of ear phones and left the store. After reviewing surveillance, patrols were able to identify the suspect and locate him at Veteran’s Park. He was taken into protective custody and released to a parent. Charges for theft are pending.
9-28-2013 – At 11:56 p.m., a resident of 851 Springfield Ave. reported that while she was sitting in her parked vehicle in the parking lot, she observed an individual looking into first floor apartment windows. Patrols responded and searched the area but were unable to locate the reported individual. The only description of the suspect is a white male in dark clothing. 9-29-2013 – Patrols took a report from a West Third Street resident who reported that on Sept. 28 at 11 p.m., she observed a male in dark clothing standing behind a tree in front of her residence. When the motion lights came on at the residence, the male ran away. The resident reported the male being 5’5” to 5’6” in height. 10-2-2013 – Detective Donald Sretenovic charged a 17-year-old male juvenile with possession of marijuana. The charge stems from an investigation into a group of juveniles smoking marijuana on the basketball court in Lions Park. He was released to a parent and was charged.
10-2-2013 – Patrolman David Rodriguez arrested Jennifer Delva, 24, of Hillside on an outstanding warrant out of Hillside Municipal Court. The warrant was located during a motor vehicle stop on Sulfrian Road.
10-5-2013 – A Southgate Road resident reported the theft of a $250 BMX bicycle.
10-7-2013 – Sergeant Frank Gaffney was investigating the sound of loud individuals walking in the center of Springfield Avenue by Jane Road. Two adults were released from the scene and a 17-year-old juvenile was taken into protective custody for being under the influence of alcohol. He was released to a parent.
10-7-2013 – A Commonwealth Avenue resident reported that someone had stolen an American Flag that she had displayed on a flag pole sometime on October 6. If anyone may have witnessed this theft, contact the New Providence Police at 908-665-1111.
