Poetry Reading Tuesday Evening

FANWOOD, NJ -The featured reader at the Carriage House Poetry Series on Tuesday, October 16 will be the distinguished poet Ken Ronkowitz, a lifelong New Jersey resident.
Ronkowitz has taught in public schools and at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and he has been the editor of PoetsOnline.org (a monthly online poetry magazine and web site for poetic inspiration) since 1998. His poems have been published in English Journal, Beloit Poetry Journal, Paterson Literary Review, Roadmap, Prague and the anthology, The Paradelle. He has worked with the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation on poetry projects in New Jersey and he is the recipient of two Dodge Foundation Writing Grants.
T is a member of the Advisory Board for the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council and he has been a volunteer educator for the past 30 years in the New Jersey Non-Game and Endangered Species Program. Since 2008, he has been the Director of Writing at Passaic County Community College and is an adjunct professor at both PCCC and NJIT.
The Carriage House Poetry Series is in its fourteenth year at the Patricia Kuran Arts Center, a historic Gothic Revival structure that was once a 19th century carriage house, hence the name of the series. It is located on Watson Road, off North Martine Avenue, adjacent to Fanwood Borough Hall. (GPS use 75 N. Martine Avenue) The October 16th reading is at 8 pm and is free and open to the public. An open mic will follow the featured performance.
