Pocketbook Stolen in Westfield, Identity Thefts, Earring Found

March 27, 2014 3:07 p.m.

A business owner within the 100 block of Elm Street reported he was the victim of an act of fraud. The victim explained that an individual representing his electric utility provider stated there was an outstanding bill which needed to be addressed. The victim paid the fictitious bill over the phone with a credit card. It was later determined that the caller/utility representative was misrepresenting himself to obtain credit card information.

March 27, 2014 6:44 p.m.

Mr. Jonny A. Londonosarrazola was arrested on the strength of two outstanding arrest warrants. Warrant #1 was issued by the East Rutherford Municipal Court (#SP5282487, bail $350.00), Warrant #2 was issued by the Union Municipal Court (#UNN767089, bail $190.00). Mr. Londonosarrazola was processed and released on his own recognizance by both of the above listed municipalities.

March 28, 2014 2:42 p.m.

A resident on the 100 block of Harrow Road reported an incident of identity theft. Actor(s) obtained personal information and opened up several credit card accounts and cell phone contracts. All accounts have outstanding balances and the victim created no such transactions. There are no suspect(s) at this time.

March 29, 2014 5:57 a.m.

Randolph Montford, 41, of Piscataway was arrested at the Route 28 traffic circle for D.W.I. and possession of a prohibited weapon. Montford’s vehicle was and he was transferred over to a responsible party after processing at Westfield Police Department Headquarters.

March 30, 2014 10:30 a.m.

Eric V. Gonsiewski, 41, of Plainfield was arrested on an active warrant of Greenbrook. Warrant was cleared within payment of $750.00 bail and Mr. Gonsiewski was released. He had been arrested in the 0-100 block of Elm Street during a police investigation into an alarm call.

March 30, 2014 11:38 p.m.

A resident of the 100 block of Pearl Place in Dunellen reports the theft of her pocketbook while at a business establishment in the 400 block of W. Broad Street. The pocketbook is described as a black-colored Michael Kors handbag, valued at approximately $350.00, and contained one red-colored floral wallet (no value); $2 US currency; one black-colored Verizon LG cell phone, valued at $50.00 approximately; one black-colored reading glasses; and one Bank of America debit card. The approximate total value of theft is $352.00. It should be noted that this pocketbook was located by officers on scene a short time later, on a sidewalk area several doors down from the initial incident location. The victim reports that all items originally reported stolen were all recovered.

April 1, 2014 9:45 p.m.

A Cranford resident located one silver earring with a center stone, similar to a diamond, in the Westfield Municipal Building Court room floor on this date.

April 2, 2014 2:52 p.m.

A resident from the 800 block of Stevens Avenue reported to be the victim of identity theft. Unknown actor(s) opened a charge card for a department store without victim’s authorization.

April 2, 2014 2:53 p.m.

A resident from the 700 block of Tamaques Way reported to be the victim of identity theft. Unknown actor(s) completed a federal tax return for victim without her authorization and delivered it to the I.R.S. attempting to obtain cash refund.

April 2, 2014 8:00 p.m.

A resident of the 300 block of Woods End Road reports a theft of a wooded wagon wheel from the front of their residence. Approximate value of wheel is $40.00.

April 2, 2014 11:00 p.m.

Officers responded to Middlesex County Jail (North Brunswick, NJ) for a prisoner pickup. Wonda Hester was then placed under arrest on the strength of Westfield Municipal Court warrant # R 168730 in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Hester was transported to Headquarters and placed into cell #1 default of bail.
