Pickup Truck Left Running in Driveway Stolen

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ—A Cameron Road resident reported that his vehicle was stolen on Saturday, Feb. 11, just before 9 a.m.
The Ford pickup was stolen from his driveway, where it was idling with the keys in the ignition. According to the victim, he saw a heavy-set black male dressed all in black steal the truck and head east. The resident found the vehicle in Newark a short time later.

A Centre Street resident reported that someone broke into his home by smashing a basement window. The individual was unable to get into the house because of a deadbolt lock on the door leading from the basement.

On Feb. 8, the tires and rims were stolen from the left side of a Cottage Street man’s car. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway.
- During a motor vehicle stop on South Orange Avenue, police arrested Edgar Etienne, of Bloomfield, on an outstanding warrant. The arrest occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 8.
