Personal-Touch Home Health Services Receives CHAP Accreditation For Tenth Year

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Personal Touch Home Health Services, is receiving the CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) accreditation for the tenth time. The CHAP acknowledgement, which is nationally recognized, is the result of Personal Touch’s high standards for home health services, which is nationally recognized.

“We are very proud of the staff and services that they provide to our patients every day of the year,” said Sandy Fromm, Administrator, Personal-Touch of New Jersey. “The CHAP Standards of Excellence accreditation is a testament to everyone’s hard work and dedication, and receiving this endorsement from a highly respected peer organization is very rewarding.”

The CHAP accreditation demonstrates that Personal Touch’s Home Health Services meets the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards. Rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services, human and financial resources, and long-term viability.

Personal-Touch provides a variety of home health care services by Registered Nurses, CHHAs (certified home health aides), housekeepers, and companions to patients and their families throughout the towns of Belleville, Bloomfield, Caldwell, Glen Ridge, Montclair, and Nutley. In addition, services are available in the counties of Essex, Hudson, Monmouth, Ocean and Union.

CHAP is an independent, not-for-profit, accrediting body of community-based health care organizations. Created in 1965, CHAP is the oldest national, community-based accrediting body with more than 5,000 agencies currently accredited nationwide. Through “deeming authority” granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice and home medical equipment services, to determine if they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards. CHAP’s purpose is to define and advance the highest standards of community-based care.
